ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY OF THE BOROUGH OF MIDLAND Separate and sealed proposals plainly marked as Water and Sewer Treatment Chemical Bids will be received by the Municipal Authority of the Borough of Midland at the office of the Authority, 946 Railroad Avenue, Midland, Pennsylvania, 15059, until 4:00PM prevailing time, January 13, 2014 at which time and place all proposals will be opened and read publicly for the furnishing and delivery requirements of water and sewage treatment chemicals. Specifications and bidding documents may be obtained at the office of the Manager of the Authority, Mr. Richard Corradi, 946 Railroad Avenue, Midland, Pennsylvania 15059. All bid prices shall be firm prices for the year ending December 31, 2014, and adjustment of prices due to price changes within the contract period will not be considered. All chemicals that come in contact with the water or affect the quality of the water must comply with ANSI/NSF certification which became effective May 16, 1993 and AWWA standards. Bids shall be accompanied by either a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Municipal Authority of the Borough of Midland.
