OFFICIAL ROSS TOWNSHIP NOTICE SEALED BIDS will be received by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Ross Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at the Municipal Building, 1000 Ross Municipal Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15237, until 1:00 P.M. local prevailing time, MONDAY, APRIL 21, 2014, and be publicly opened and read on the same date and place during a regular meeting of the Township Commissioners at 7:30 P.M. for the SALE OF THE FOLLOWING USED POLICE VEHICLES: 1 - 2006 Expedition -- 64,027 miles 1 - 2008 Crown Victoria - 100,061 miles 1 - 2009 Crown Victoria - 109,318 miles All bids must be on approved Ross Township bid forms. Forms are available by calling the Office of the Manager at the Municipal Building, 412-931-7055. All bids must be in a plain envelope clearly marked "BID FOR SALE OF POLICE USED VEHICLES" with the items being bid and the price clearly marked inside. All bids must be accompanied by a CERTIFIED CHECK or MONEY ORDER made payable to "ROSS TOWNSHIP" in the amount of Ten (10%) Percent of your total bid. Failure to claim used vehicles awarded within thirty (30) calendar days of date of award letter will cause forfeiture of the Ten (10%) Percent check or money order and used vehicles will automatically be awarded to next highest bidder. Payment in full must also be made by a CERTIFIED CHECK or MONEY ORDER made payable to "ROSS TOWNSHIP". Anyone wishing to view the used vehicles must make an appointment by calling the Ross Township Motor Pool at 412-931-3956 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All used vehicles are being bid on an "as is" basis. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject and or all bids and act in the best interest of the Township.
