OFFICIAL NOTICE Sealed Bids will be received by the Township of O'Hara, at 325 Fox Chapel Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238, until 4:00 p.m., May 6, 2014 for the new Lauri Ann West Community Center. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during a Township of O'Hara scheduled Council meeting on May 6, 2014 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the municipal building, for the following work: Mechanical Construction Contract All bids must be sealed and addressed to Julie A. Jakubec, Township Manager, Township of O'Hara, 325 Fox Chapel Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238, and the words "Bid Proposal for Lauri Ann West Community Center - Mechanical Construction Contract" written on the outside of the envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier check, or bid bond from a surety company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price, made payable to the Township of O'Hara. All Bidders shall be required to submit with their bid a completed AIA Document A305-1986 Contractor Qualification Statement. A mandatory pre-bid meeting for all interested prime contract bidders will be conducted Monday, April 21, 2014, 9:00 am at the project site located at 1220 Powers Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238. All bids must be on a lump sum basis; and include the required break out items and alternate prices. Bidders shall be responsible for verifying all addenda prior to submitting a bid. Failure to acknowledge receipt of addenda may result in disqualification of a bid. The Bid Document Package and all prime bidders must purchase access to the FASTAC Digital Drawing and Document Distribution System for the bidding phase. Contact number 888-832-7882. The Contractor, within ten (10) days after the date the Contractor is notified of the Contract award, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum and a Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum.
