Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh PUBLIC NOTICE OPENING OF WAITING LISTS Effective at the start of the business day Tuesday, August 20, 2019, the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) will open the waiting lists for the following Project Based Voucher Site Based Communities: • Sycamore Street Apartments – 124 W. Sycamore Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15211. (1 bedroom units only. These units require the head of household to be at least 55 years of age). • Crawford Square Apartments – 510 Protectory Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. (1, 2 and 3 bedroom units only). • East Liberty Place South – 5836 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. (1 and 2 bedroom units only). Not all households will be eligible for a 1, 2 or 3 bedroom unit, as the age, gender and relationships of household members affect the number of bedrooms for which a household is eligible. Income and eligibility restrictions of the Housing Choice Voucher Program apply. Not all units at this location are served by these waiting lists; additional units with different requirements may be available directly from the location's management office. PUBLIC AWARENESS The Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School (herein referred to as Lincoln Park) offers a full continuum of special education programs and services to all students eligible for such services. Special education programs and services are available for eligible children in grades 7-12 and may be requested by contacting Mr. P.K. Poling, CEO, at (724) 643-9004. Special education programs available include services for eligible students who are identified as: mentally retarded, multi-handicapped, learning disabled, neurologically impaired, autistic/pervasive development, physically impaired disorder, seriously emotionally disturbed, visually impaired, speech and language impaired, or hearing impaired. Lincoln Park conducts ongoing identification activities to determine if students are in need of special education services. Lincoln Park operates the following special education programs: integrated learning support, emotional support, life skills support, learning support, and speech language support. Lincoln Park has an ongoing screening process to identify students in need of special education services and specially designed instruction. The screening process begins in August with a review of all group achievement and ability test results. Individual screening takes place throughout the remainder of the school year as needed. Parents/guardians may request their child be screened or evaluated for special education services. Requests for screenings or evaluations should be made in writing and directed to Mr. P.K. Poling. NOTICE TO BIDDERS ROSS TOWNSHIP ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Sealed Proposals will be received by Ross Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania until 11:00 AM on August 29, 2019 to be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter for the following project: ROSS TOWNSHIP 2019 MANHOLE REHAB PROGRAM This project involves the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer manholes throughout the Township including manhole lid and frame replacement; manhole frame realignment; parging and grout injection; invert and bench replacement; step replacement; chimney sealing; manhole lining; as well as all site restoration; resident notification; and traffic control, complete in place. All Proposals must be delivered to the Ross Township Municipal Building, 1000 Ross Municipal Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15237-2725 by 11:00 AM prevailing time, on August 29, 2019. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words: "ROSS TOWNSHIP 2019 MANHOLE REHAB PROGRAM” Copies of Drawings, Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Forms of Proposals and Agreement are on file and open to public inspection at The Gateway Engineers, Inc., located at 100 McMorris Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 where sets of said documents may be obtained upon payment of $50.00 fee per set. Plans and specifications may be mailed for an additional $10.00 fee. No refund will be made for the return of any documents. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates are required to be paid on this project. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting 10:00 AM prevailing time, on August 23, 2019 at the Ross Township Municipal Building, 1000 Ross Municipal Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15237-2725. Contractors who intend to bid on the Contract MUST attend. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by Ross Township. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Ross Township in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals must be made to Ross Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of ninety (90) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the ninety (90) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. Performance, Maintenance, and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement upon acceptance of the Proposal from the successful Bidder.
