The project includes, but is not limited to, repairs to the existing Wood Street Bridge. The structure consists of a simple span steel bridge with non-integral concrete deck and asphalt overlay. Work includes removal of deteriorated Beam #9, flame cutting beam to be flush with face of existing abutments, installation of new beam with miscellaneous steel attachments, installation of channel sections at the mid-span of the bridge, painting installed steel elements, traffic controls and site restoration.
