BOROUGH OF BRADDOCK HILLS ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE, E-WASTE AND HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL Sealed Proposals are invited and will be received by the Borough of Braddock Hills for collection and disposal of solid waste, e-waste and household hazardous waste. Proposals must be made on the Proposal Forms in accordance with instructions to Bidders furnished by the office of the Borough Manager of the Borough of Braddock Hills. The defined terms appearing in the General Specifications apply to all Contract Documents. Copies of the Proposal Forms are available at the offices of the Borough of Braddock Hills, 1300 Brinton Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15221, for the non-refundable fee of Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars per set. Proposals must be made upon the form furnished by the Borough of Braddock Hills. Proposals must be delivered to the municipal offices of the Borough of Braddock Hills located at 1300 Brinton Road, Braddock Hills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania 15221, and be on file with the Borough of Braddock Hills on or before 4:00 p.m. on November 10, 2020. Bids will be opened at a public meeting of the Council of the Borough of Braddock Hills on November 10, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. during the Borough's monthly business meeting. The selected Bidder will be awarded the Contract through a Resolution of the aforementioned municipality adopted at a public meeting of the Borough approving and adopting the Contract Documents, providing for its enforcement and penalties as provided by law. A proposal bond or certified check must accompany the Proposal, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Borough of Braddock Hills reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in any Proposal, and to make an award in any manner, consistent with law, deemed in the best interest of the Borough. POTTER TOWNSHIP SOLICITOR The Township of Potter, a Second Class Township located in Beaver County, in accordance with the codes and laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a proposal for Township Solicitor, who may be one person or a law firm, partnership, association or professional corporation. The Board, by a majority vote, shall appoint a Township Solicitor to serve at the pleasure of the Board. The Township Solicitor shall be a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and shall not hold other elected or appointed public office in the Township; shall serve as legal advisor to the Board, department heads, administrative officers, boards, authorities and commissions, except as otherwise provided by law; shall represent the township in legal proceedings or hearings and perform any other duties prescribed by ordinance or as directed by the Board. SCOPE OF SERVICES: 1. Attend and provide knowledgeable legal advice at all meetings of the Board as required and attend meetings of such other Township boards and commissions as the Board may request from time to time. 2. Advise and assist members of the Board and the Township Secretary in drafting proposed ordinances. 3. Advise and assist the Secretary in preparing public notices of regular and special meetings of the Board and of other Township boards and commissions of other Township business requiring public notice and approve such notices prior to legal advertising and posting. 4. Prepare or approve for legality all contracts, agreements or other legal documents prior to execution by authorized Township officials. 5. Furnish the Board and committees of the Board, when requested, an opinion upon any question of law which may be submitted to him by any of them in their official capacities. 6. Represent the Township as needed in court proceedings INSURANCE: The Solicitor shall maintain adequate public liability, property damage, malpractice and workers compensation insurances. COMPENSATION: Provide a description of the compensation you would expect on an annualized basis for providing the Scope of Services requested. Compensation shall be subject to final negotiations.
