INVITATION TO BID SOUTH HILLS AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS Sealed proposals will be received by the South Hills Area Council of Governments (SHACOG), Allegheny County, PA until 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 to be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter for the following project: SHACOG Joint Municipal Sanitary Sewer O&M Point Repairs - Year 6 This project involves approximately 80 sanitary and storm sewer repairs: sanitary and storm sewer excavation point repairs, wye branch and lateral repairs, sanitary and storm sewer heavy cleaning, MH installation, MH bench and invert repairs, CCTV verification of the repair locations and post repair CCTV documentation and location and adjustment of buried manholes. Traffic control and restoration of disturbed areas including driveways, sidewalks, roadways, curbs, walls, fences, lawn areas, shrubbery, etc. are also included in the project in the following municipalities: Crafton Borough, Emsworth Borough, Ingram Borough, Jefferson Hills Borough, Mt. Oliver Borough, and Oakdale Borough All contractors wishing to bid on this project must be pre-qualified by SHACOG. Copies of specifications may be obtained at the SHACOG office, 2600 Old Greentree Road, Carnegie, PA 15106, 412-429-1130. A non-refundable fee of $75.00 for each set of plans will be required. An additional $10.00 will be required for each set of plans if they are to be mailed. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates are required to be paid on this project. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by SHACOG. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid, made payable to SHACOG.
